GREENING THE FLEET
FLEET RENEWAL
- Construction of an electric propulsion boat. This environmentally friendly event boat, both in its construction and operation, will be delivered in June 2024.
- First electric boat built for the Paris sector since 2018.
- Project respectful of environmental and aesthetic constraints imposed by the time and place.
EMISSION REDUCTION
- Heavy curative maintenance of propulsion engines and generators to reduce emissions of fine particles, NOx (nitrogen oxide), and unburned hydrocarbons (an old engine can consume up to 10% more fuel).
- GTL: switching to the new, less polluting GTL (Gas-To-Liquid) fuel.
- Engine replacement: the engines of part of the fleet (4) have been replaced with the latest generation Caterpillar engines (Tier II standard), significantly reducing CO2 emissions as well as NOx emissions by up to 80%.
- Preventive maintenance: lowering the oil change frequency and replacing air filters every 500 hours to maintain nominal combustion. Raising awareness among captains about eco-driving.
REDUCTION OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION ON BOARD
Energy-intensive equipment is replaced to reduce the electrical consumption produced by the generators (and thus fuel consumption).
- Replacement of heating & air conditioning units with the latest generation of "Inverter" type heat pumps, allowing up to 30% reduction in energy consumption.
- CO2 Sensor: optimal management of air renewal to limit excessive air renewal and thus optimize energy consumption.
- Hydrothermal energy: heat pump that recovers calories from the river for heating.
- Cogeneration: heating of domestic hot water by recovering the lost calories from combustion engines (up to 95% reduction in electrical consumption).
- LED Lighting: relamping with LED technology devices generating up to 80% energy savings.
- Replacement of restaurant equipment: equipment is regularly replaced with the latest generation of less energy-intensive devices.
- “The quality and safety of services rely on the triple performance of the work tool, processes, and employees.”
